A Visit To The Female Prison In Wuhan City

Last Friday, our classmates came along to the female prison in Hankou district of Wuhan city .The prison has a long history and as the development of the city it gradually became the center of the city which made us so curious for in our country it is common to see the prison is built remote from the city.

We just visit the dinning room and the dorms .And it is pity that we had no chance to meet the prisoners and chat with them . As we major in psychology ,we all prone to observe the rules and life in prison like psychologists. there are two measures fascinate me . Firstly , on every dorm's wall there is a 心情晴雨表 which is used to post the expression .Every prisoner has five expressions to choose :happy , rage , sad and so on . Every morning ,each prisoner choose an expression to post on that 晴雨表 to show her emotion or feelings .In this way ,on one hand the prisoner can release her bad emotion ,on the other hand ,it is convenient for the administer of the prison to realise the change of prisoner's emotion .Secondly , they use the token economic in the approach of behaviorism . If the prisoner had a good behavior in a period such as hard working ,obedient to the rules, he will get his score increased .

here i want to thank the police in the prison they all very patient and friendly to our coming .

i am looking forward to the next visit to the female prison and have a pleasant chat with the prisoner. After all ,these prisoners staying in the prison for a long time and have no freedom need more care from the society and more out world information . I just want to be their friend and bring them the messages from all the kind people

Interesting. I'm not sure about the "friend" thing, but everybody needs to see kind faces, prisoners not excluded. Let me know how your observation turns out. Good luck.
