PARANORMAL PSYCHOLOGY

Beyond Ordinary: Real Life Experiences………

This group is about the facts and stories about mysterious happenings, beyond human explanations. It's about how mysterious and how enchanting life is.......

This vast universe.....it's expanse and our survival in this lone planet..........experiences of each individual is unique and contributes a lot to human understanding.

Who we are? What is human thought? Is there life after death? Are we all living in a state of dream? Is there life beyond the Earth?

All these questions are hard to answer but not impossible! Anybody who acquires the understanding of these abstract ideas can well be considered living a life beyond life...........

Hope believers and even non-believers would be willing to share their experiences!

Thank you!

My Personal experience: I often experience premonitions and have even experienced a presence of a spirit (which probably was my belated brother)! I have even tried out a very simple technique parallel to planchet! Anybody interested can e-mail me!

The Amityville Horror

is one of the most documented and well-known cases of a haunted house in the history of paranormal research.

The story - which was alleged to have happened to the Lutz family when they moved into a large Dutch colonial house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville - has been the subject of a series of best-selling books and a string of movies.

When George and Kathy Lutz, along with Kathy's three children, first moved into their new house in Amityville on December 18th, 1975, they thought they had found their dream home. That is, of course, until that dream became a living nightmare, as they started experiencing the strange paranormal occurrences which eventually drove them out of the house.

Prior to the Lutzes' occupation of the Amityville house, the residence had been the scene of a horrific murder spree. On November 13th, 1974, 23-year-old Ronald DeFeo shot dead his father, mother and four younger siblings. However, not being superstitious, the Lutzs still bought the house.

By January 14th, 1976, when the Lutzes fled the house forever, they claimed to have been terrorized for 28 days by an unspeakably evil entity. Their horrific experiences included ghostly apparitions of hooded figures, swarms of flies in the sewing room and the children's playroom, breaking window panes, spine-chilling cold alternating with suffocating heat, personality changes, nightly parades by spirit marching bands, levitations, green slime oozing down the stairs, foul odors, nausea, inexplicable scratches on Kathleen's body, objects mysteriously moving, constant disconnection of the telephone service, and even communications between the youngest, Melissa, and a devilish spirit pig by the name of "Jodie".

But more shockingly, even the Devil himself is said to have actually appeared in the house.

Even visitors to the house were affected by the strange atmosphere permeating through the place. Kathy's brother, Jimmy, and his new bride mysteriously lost $1,500 in cash. And Father Mancuso, the local priest who gave the house his blessing, suffered a horrible bout of sickness that left him physically drained. As a result, he eventually transferred to a distant parish. He is said to have heard a voice from an unseen entity ordering him to "get out" when he sprinkled the house with holy water.

In 1977, The Amityville Horror by Jay Anson was published. The book became an instant bestseller, and led to a top-grossing movie in 1979, starring James Brolin and Margot Kidder. More Amityville Horror books followed, written by different authors, which gave alleged accounts of the demonic entity still following the Lutzes, even after they had fled the Amityville house.

As is often the norm with cases like this, many skeptics claimed that the Amityville haunting was just a big hoax, and they were quick to point out various discrepancies in Anson's book. Even Jerry Solfvin, of the Psychical Research Foundation, who was contacted by George Lutz in early January 1976 about paranormal activity at the house, found the whole case rather questionable. All the evidence was subjective. Also, Father Mancuso was regarded as being a poor witness, as he had visited the house only the once. It took Anson three or four months to write his book, and he worked mostly from tapes of telephone interviews. Apparently, he made only a superficial effort to verify the Lutzes' account.

The most significant aspect of the case is the interview that Ronald DeFeo's lawyer, William Weber, gave a local radio station in 1979. He claimed that the Lutzes' concocted the whole Amityville Horror saga around their kitchen table whilst drinking bottles of wine. He also said that after approaching them with the idea, the Lutzes broke away from him, and so he decided to sue for his share of the book and movie royalties. But the Lutzes countersued, arguing that their experiences were genuine. Mrs. Lutz's story was later analyzed on a Psychological Stress Evaluation. The results of the test confirmed her claims.

Although it's possible that the haunting at the Amityville residence may have actually happened, many observers have deemed the Lutzes' story to be over-dramatic when compared to other cases of paranormal activity.

When the Lutzes moved out, the house became quiet. The subsequent owners, Jim and Barbara Cromarty, reported no incidents of paranormal activity whatsoever. But they became so annoyed at the large amounts of tourists and thrill-seekers who were repeatedly converging on the place that they eventually sued the Lutzes for $1.1 million. They won a settlement for a lesser amount.

Thirty years on, the current owners of the Amityville house maintain that they have not experienced a single instance of ghostly activity, a fact which only gives added weight to the arguments of the skeptics who claim that the Lutzes' story was phoney.

To this day, the worldwide fascination with The Amityville Horror continues, as unabated and as intense as ever, and the debate still rages on as to whether there was even a grain of truth in the Lutzes' claims that their house was infested by some demonic entity. Whether it was true or not, one thing is certain: The Amityville Horror will go down in history as one of the most controversial and terrifying stories ever written.

Haunted Lighting Shop

Haunted Lighting Shop
Staff and customers at a lighting shop in North East Lincolnshire have been turning a
whiter shade of pale after a spate of ghostly goings-on.

Lights mysteriously drop from the ceiling, shades are thrown, doors open and slam, and footsteps echo throughout Beagles Lighting on Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby.

Paranormal investigators, who were called in by shop owner Fiona Glover (pictured right, with Sandra Keogh), have declared the shop haunted.

Investigators from TV's "Most Haunted" will now visit the site on Saturday.

Ms Glover first noticed something was different about the shop when she moved in seven months ago.

Bulbs were repeatedly unscrewed from lamps, the front door would open to trigger off an alarm, and boxes in the store room were thrown about at night.

She finally decided to get help after a customer watched a collection of candle shades be thrown across the shop floor by some invisible force.

Their presence doesn't scare you - they are not nasty, but they are too mischievous

Linda Glover

Investigators from the Lincolnshire and East Riding Paranormal Investigation Team have carried out extensive research into the activities.

Mediums and a shamanic path walker have also visited the shop to help determine who and what is haunting the shop.

Ms Glover said: "We have been told there are two men and an elderly woman who need help to go to the light.

"One of the men is aggressive and comes into the shop after visiting The Albion pub across the road. He then goes upstairs. It's thought he killed his wife."

Mediums believe one of the men could be called John and the other Tom. They also believe the surname Harrison is linked to the restless spirits.

Ms Glover and employee Sandra Keogh have been carrying out their own research into the shop.

In 1870 it was Gooseman the winemakers and a horse corn dealer. In 1910 it was the Labour exchange and in 1935 a radio factory.

We are all skeptical but there is no doubt there are large amounts of activity that can be classed as paranormal and unexplained

Steve Page, paranormal investigator

But Ms Glover says they would like to know more.

"It is clear the shop used to be two houses and in the roof you can still see the original brick work and walls, but we can't seem to find out anything from before 1870."

Steve Page, from the Lincolnshire and East Riding Paranormal Investigation Team said the first thing they do is to look at a building's past.

"We examine previous human activity at the site, such as whether someone has lived there, been born there or died there."

Mediums are then used after a number of tests are carried out at the site.

Mr. Page said: "Our first objective though is to look at any rational reasons for the perceived activity such as road vibrations, anomalies in the electrics or any other rational explanations.

"We are all sceptical but there is no doubt there are large amounts of activity that can be classed as paranormal and unexplained."

Ms Glover added: "The sooner we can get this calmed down the better.

"Their presence doesn't scare you - they are not nasty, but they are too mischievous for us."

The Haunted 1950's House

My parents still live in the house with me and my fiancé and two of my grandparents died within the house. The house itself was built in the 1950's. To make it easier for myself I will list some of the stuff that happens within the house in bullet points.

1) In the hallway, when you walk from the kitchen, you can feel someone following you inches from your back. This feeling often follows you either part way up the stairs or exits through the front door. A family friend has often commented, not knowing about the above, that she feels something brushing by her when she enters the house as if someone was passing her.

2) On the ground floor we have a side room/granny flat. This room has always had a strange feeling to it and my grandma did die in there over 10 year ago. My own personal experiences have included seeing shadows, hearing someone call my name and sensing someone in the room just staring at you. I have often thought that there is a "vortex" in bathroom part of the room. My mother, who now sleeps in the room, has spoken of feeling a hand gently brushing her forehead and/or cheeks when she has been stressed. My fiancé, when he first visited and was never told about the "happenings", used that room as a guest room. The next morning he confronted me saying he could feel someone standing in the room staring at him and that it had freaked him out. Another family friend, who is an untrained medium so to speak, has recently confirmed that there is a "vortex" in this room and she refuses to go into the room on her own.

3) I saw the face of a little girl in my bedroom last May. When my fiancé put his hand in the area he commented that it was icy cold. This is curious to me since I cannot explain why a little girl would be in the house.

4) A couple of winters a go I saw the face of a middle aged woman with long dark hair looking through the window. At first I thought it was my own reflection since our eyes connected with each other at the same time. But her face was at an angel that made that impossible plus it was as if her body was higher then the window and therefore was having to come from above in order to look through the window.

5) When everyone is downstairs, including the pets, you can sometimes here something running around in my bedroom. Most of the time it sounds like a child’s run.

I am going to end this email here but I feel I have said enough. I am not bothered if you decide to post this on your site or not. I just wanted to tell someone and maybe, if it is no trouble, be given advice on how to go about researching the house/area and getting the evidence etc.

Thank you for reading this.

The Man Without A Face

I had with a really good friend of mine about 9 years ago. Well, at that time, we loved anything that had to do with the outdoors, like riding 4-wheelers, going for walks, and making forts. Well, it was a hot summer day, just started out like any other day. We were busy making a fort in these woods that were located in the woods behind my parents house. We were out there for probably a couple of hours or so when we decided that we should get going home because it was going to get dark out any time soon. So we packed up and got ready to leave.

Well just as we both looked up, we noticed a man, in a orange hunters suit, but the strange thing. He had no face! It was all black where his face was supposed to be!

I know this sounds so strange but it is the solid truth.

Well, after we seen him, we both started running towards the trail to get home, and we ran and ran, until we reached my friend's house. We never stopped running the whole way back and we never spoke of what we saw until the next day.

When I seen her the following day, I asked, did that really happen? It was so un-real, and unexplained to me, that it felt like I was in a dream! But, when I asked her, I was hoping that she would say I was crazy and that never had happened, but she said just the opposite!

It did in fact happen, and both of us will never forget the Hunter Man for the rest of our lives!!!!!

The Museum of Haunting

It was just June the First when I saw it.

I was in bed reading a book when all of a sudden I heard my little brother scream.

I knew it, something was wrong!

I jumped up out of bed as fast as I could to see my little brother up against the corner of the wall screaming at nothing.

Once I got him to calm down I asked him what was wrong. He told me that something was chocking him and pulling his hair.

The next morning really strange things have been happening like people walking up and down are hallway at night and stuff being moved.

From that day on, we moved out of our house, and it is now called the Museum of Haunting.

The Valentine's Day Ghost

The Valentine's Day Ghost
(This story happened to a workmate of my auntie's in Liverpool's James Street railway station about three years ago.)

It was Valentine's Night, and the young husband had decided to take his wife out for a meal to Liverpool. After having had a pleasant evening, the pair went to Liverpool's James Street Station to get the last train home.

As they sat in the station chatting to each other, the husband noticed that there was a very smartly-dressed young lady, in a 1940's style black suit, sitting on the same bench as them. From the neatness of her attire, the woman looked as if she worked in an office. However, the man became puzzled when he noticed that she was staring fixedly straight ahead, and did not move at all.

Just then, the train came in, and the strange lady got up first and boarded the train ahead of the couple, who decided to enter the same compartment. As they stepped inside, the husband noticed that the compartment was empty, and there was no other way that the woman could have exited the compartment, except to pass by the couple. Frowning, the man asked his wife if she had seen the lady who had sat by them on the bench step into the compartment. Returning his frown, the wife shook her head and asked, "What woman?"

The husband replied: "You know him lady who was sitting by us."

Again, looking puzzled, the woman shook her head and denied, again, that she had seen any woman on the bench.

Being a very level-headed person, the husband came to the conclusion that even though he did not believe in ghosts, there had been something very strange indeed about the lady's whole aspect. Maybe, he surmised, with it being Valentine's Day, and with her 1940's style attire, the woman could have been a spirit of a young lover going to meet her fiancé, and perhaps something tragic had happened in that railway station once she had boarded the train.

Who knows?

James Street station is a very old station, with a lot of history. During the war, for example, people used to go down in its tunnels to shelter from the Nazi bombings.

The Three Ghosts

My name is dede, I grew up in Albuquerque, NM. The house I grew up in was haunted. I believe it was haunted by three ghosts. We have had people come to visit and have seen many things or experiences goings on. although I don’t live in this home anymore, we know that its been purchased several times more than 8 times since we left.

Our old neighbors say that the owners usually leave in the middle of the night. However we lived in the home 17 years and didn’t move because of the goings on. In fact, I have fond memories of this home. I believe we were protected because we are devout Catholics. I love investigating, and have no fear of demons. I love Most Haunted and happen to love Derek Acorah. This, by far, is the most awesome show on TV.
